The Automotive Center Südwestfalen GmbH (acs) was founded in Attendorn in 2013.

The weight reduction in automotive engineering makes a significant contribution to reducing the direct and indirect energy consumption of vehicles and thus CO2 emissions. However, in view of the challenges facing the automotive industry in general and the requirements of electro-mobility and legal regulations in particular, vehicle concepts and approaches in automotive engineering must undergo fundamental advancement.

The acs was founded to meet these challenges and to establish itself as one of the leading project partners of the entire automotive industry for economic and innovative research and development. The focus of the competence centre is on the development of series-ready solutions and tailor-made applications.
